For the visitors, here are the guidelines for the 4 days of activities at PyCon APAC.

Venue is located in the Shibuya which is different place. FYI Shibuya station will have halloween event 🎃 at night, it will be messy after event please note.

Code Of Conduct

All participants are following the code of conduct ( https://2023-apac.pycon.jp/coc). For inquiries about the Code of Conduct, please contact the frontdesk staff on 4/F in convention hall.

Activities:

Conference session

The regular session on Day 1 and Day 2 conference days will consist of 5 tracks on both days. There are 4 tracks on the 4th floor of the venue and 1 track on the 20th floor of the venue.

1st - 4th track on 4th floor that presents 30 mins sessions and grouped by languages.

I.e.

Day 1: 3 English tracks, 1 Japanese track

Day 2: 2 English tracks, 2 Japanese tracks

5th track on 20th floor that presents 15 mins sessions and mixed with English and Japanese language together.

The total number of presentations that will be held over the two days will be 56 sessions, with 40 30-minute talks and 16 15-minute talks. 

Lightning Talk

Lightning Talk already assigned in Conference days, it will happen before closing everyday. Lightning talk is a short presentation that is bounded 5 minutes each. And speakers will present it 1 by 1.  https://2023-apac.pycon.jp/lightning-talk for details.

PyCon APAC 2023 is being held with the support of many sponsoring companies. They are located on the 4th floor, and it is appreciated that you can visit community friendly corporations to get the latest/useful information.

Development Sprint

Development sprint will held in 4th floor of HENNGE Headquarter office in Shibuya at 10:00 on Day 3 (Sunday). Reservation is required for the event. Participants can share the hosting projects for others on-hand support. Participant can join the project who is interest. Let's code!

Unconference

For any participants would like to share your idea in the event instantly. On the 20/F in the area of Poster Session, presenters can share the provided projector and screen for your session as an unconference model. 

Job Board

You / your company can post your vacancy to the board on the 20th Floor. There is a job board where you can stick your JD.

Only on Day 1, 27-Oct-2023 (Fri) , Publisher: O'Reilly Japan & Shoueisha.

Childcare Service

PyCon APAC delegated childcare service company, Alpha Corporate Inc., supports such service during the event, it is free of charge but reservation is closed. Below shown the servicing hours:

Travel grant service

Travel grant service window will open at Day 2 from lunch time to end of coffee break for approved participants. I.e. 12:10 - 15:20 [update 20231024]
