遠方参加者の支援制度について

主に遠方参加者を対象に、交通費や宿泊費の一部を「一般社団法人 PyCon JP Association」が負担する制度です


支援制度の詳細

対象者

自宅から会場までのアクセスが遠く、宿泊費や交通費が多くかかる方。

 

支払額

実費の70%を支給します。ただし、以下の上限額を超えないものとします。

  • 国内から参加する方: 4万円を上限とする交通費・宿泊費

  • 国外から参加する方: 10万円を上限とする交通費・宿泊費


上限を超える場合は各自でご負担ください。

 

募集人数

若干名(国内30人、国外10人程度まで)

申し込み多数の場合、学生やより遠方に在住している方が優先されます。

人数は状況により追加される場合があります。

当選結果は7月上旬よりご連絡いたしますが、状況によりそれ以前にご連絡する場合がございます。

 

申し込みについて

申込方法

以下の申し込みサイトよりお申込みいただけます。

支援対象選考にあたって優先される条件

  • 開催地(広島)からみて遠方からの参加者

  • U25チケットまたはStudentチケットで参加する若者

  • PyCon JPに初めて参加する人

  • トークセッションのスピーカー(申し込み時点では確定していないのでPretalxのアカウントをお知らせください)

  • オープンソースプロジェクトやPythonコミュニティに貢献している人(申し込みフォームに貢献内容をお書きください)

  •  その他、一般社団法人PyCon JP Associationが支援すべき理由が認められる人(申し込みフォームに支援すべきと考える理由をお書きください)

注) 優先条件を踏まえて選考しても応募者が予定数を上回る場合、ランダム抽選にて決定します。


注意点

  • 支援対象は交通費と宿泊費のみです。PyCon JP 2026 参加中の食費などは対象外です。

  • 高校生以下の方は親権者の承認が必要です。

注) 支援対象にカンファレンスチケット費用は含まれません。


精算方法

領収書またはそれに準ずる往復の金額がわかるものをご用意ください。具体的な精算方法は別途ご連絡いたします。

PyCon JP 2026 Travel Grant Program

 

About the Travel Grant Program

The PyCon JP Association offers a travel grant program primarily intended for participants traveling from distant locations. This program partially covers transportation and accommodation expenses for attending PyCon JP 2026.


Travel Grant Details

Eligibility

Applicants who live far from the venue and expect significant transportation and accommodation expenses are eligible to apply.

Grant Amount

The grant covers up to 70% of actual travel and accommodation expenses, subject to the following limits:

  • Participants traveling domestically: up to JPY 40,000

  • Participants traveling internationally: up to JPY 100,000

Any expenses exceeding these limits must be covered by the participant.

Number of Recipients

A limited number of grants will be awarded:

  • Approximately 30 domestic participants

  • Approximately 10 international participants

If the number of applications exceeds availability, priority will be given to those meeting the selection priorities set out below.

The number of recipients may be increased depending on circumstances.

Application Deadline

June 20, 2026 AoE (June 21, 2026 20:59 JST)

Result Notification

Applicants will be notified of the results starting in early July 2026. Depending on the review process, some applicants may be contacted earlier.

Please apply through the application form below.

  • Selection Priorities

    Priority may be given to applicants who meet one or more of the following conditions:

    • Participants traveling from locations far from the venue (Hiroshima)

    • Young participants using a U25 or student ticket

    • First-time attendees of PyCon JP

    • Speakers presenting a talk session (Talk acceptance may not yet be finalized at the time of application.) Please provide your Pretalx account information.

    • Contributors to open source projects or the Python community (Please describe your contributions in the application form.)

    • Applicants with other circumstances that the PyCon JP Association considers deserving of support (Please explain why you believe support should be provided in the application form.)

    Note: If the number of qualified applicants exceeds the available grants even after considering the priority criteria above, recipients will be selected by random lottery.


    Important Notes

    • The grant only covers transportation and accommodation expenses. Meals and other expenses during PyCon JP 2026 are not covered.

    • Applicants under the age of 18 must obtain parental or guardian consent.

    • Conference ticket fees are not included in the travel grant.


    Reimbursement Process

    Please prepare receipts or equivalent documents showing the round-trip transportation and accommodation costs. Detailed reimbursement procedures will be provided separately.

    オープンソースカンファレンス名古屋に出展します

    みなさん、こんにちは!
    イベント出展担当スタッフの塚本です。

    5/23(土)に名古屋市にて行われるオープンソースカンファレンス2026 Nagoya(OSC)に一般社団法人PyCon JP Associationとしてブース出展を行います。

    場所は中小企業振興会館 吹上ホールで、10:00〜18:00まで、入場無料です!

    ブース展示ではPython初心者向けイベントのPython Boot Camp、PyLadies Caravanの案内や、今年8月に広島で行われるPyCon JP 2026についての案内を行う予定です。

    また、ステッカー配布やアンケートなども行っていますので、ぜひお立ち寄りください!

    PyCon JP 2026 Ticket Sales Announcement

    PyCon JP 2026 will be held at the Hiroshima International Conference Center in Hiroshima from Friday, August 21 to Sunday, August 23, 2026.

    This announcement covers ticket sales for the main conference sessions taking place on August 21 and 22.

    We look forward to welcoming you to PyCon JP 2026!


    Ticket Sales Start Date

    Conference tickets will be available through the connpass event page 

    Please note that a connpass account is required to purchase tickets.

    About Conference Tickets

    Party tickets will be sold separately for some ticket types.

    Participants attending the conference with a “Personal”, “Early Bird”, “U25”, or “Student” ticket who wish to join the party must purchase a party ticket separately.

    However, “Patron” and “Business” tickets will include party admission, so an additional party ticket is not required.

    Further details regarding party tickets will be announced later.

    In addition, registration for the free Sprint event on August 23 will also be announced separately at a later date.

    • Patron — JPY 50,000

    This ticket is intended for individuals who would like to support us as Patron Sponsors.

    As a benefit for Patron Sponsors, we plan to acknowledge your support. Admission to the party is included with this ticket.

    In addition, as with the Business ticket, receipts in a specific format can be issued. Please refer to the “Receipts” section below for details.

    • Business — JPY 30,000

    If you require a receipt in a specific format when attending as a general participant, please select this option.

    In addition to the benefits included with the Personal ticket, admission to the party is also included.

    Ticket holders do not need to purchase a separate party ticket.

    • Personal — JPY 10,000

    This ticket is for general attendees.

    Please note that admission to the party is not included with this ticket. If you would like to attend the party, please purchase a separate party ticket, which will be available at a later date.

    • Early Bird — JPY 7,000

    There is a limited amount of early bird tickets. Except for the discounted price, the included benefits are equivalent to those of the Personal ticket.

    Early Bird ticket holders wishing to attend the party must purchase a party ticket separately.

    Early Bird ticket sales will end on June 14, 2026.

    • U25 — JPY 5,000

    To make participation more affordable for younger attendees, we offer a discounted ticket for people aged 25 and under. 

    U25 ticket holders wishing to attend the party must purchase a party ticket separately.

    Please bring an official document proving that you are 25 years old or under as of the first day of the event (August 21).

    • Student — JPY 2,000

    Students enrolled in a university (including graduate school), technical college, vocational school, high school, or junior high school should purchase this ticket.

    Student ticket holders wishing to attend the party must purchase a party ticket separately.

    Please bring an official document proving your student status as of the first day of the event (August 21).

    What’s Included with Your Ticket

    Conference tickets include the following:

    • Admission to the main conference

    • PyCon JP commemorative merchandise (such as T-shirts)

    • Consumption tax

    Important Notes

    To Attendees and Ticket Holders

    By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the following policies and guidelines. Please review them carefully.

    • Agreement Regarding the Exclusion of Anti-Social Forces
      • Speakers, participants, companies, and organizations applying to participate must confirm that they are not affiliated with anti-social organizations and have no relationship with such groups.
    • Minors must obtain permission and consent from an appropriate parent or guardian before registering.

    For Speakers

    Speakers are also required to purchase conference tickets. Please note that speaker discounts are not available.

    If tickets are sold out, we will provide an alternative method for speakers to obtain tickets.

    Keynote and invited speakers will receive separate guidance individually.

    For Sponsors

    Sponsors may admit the number of attendees included in their sponsorship package.

    If additional tickets are needed, please purchase general attendee tickets separately.

    Payment Information

    Payment Method

    Only PayPal (credit card) is accepted for payment.

    If you do not have a credit card, please try one of the following:

    • Use a prepaid VISA card (e.g., V-Preca, Kyash)
    • Ask someone you know to make the payment on your behalf
    If PayPal is unavailable and another payment method is required, payment will generally be handled via bank transfer, regardless of whether the participant is located in Japan or overseas.

    If you would like to pay by bank transfer, or if bank transfer is also not possible, please contact us using the form below.

    Payment Errors

    If you encounter a payment error, please do not leave it unresolved.

    Do not attempt duplicate registrations. Instead, contact us through the inquiry form.

    Cancellation Policy

    Please note that we are unable to accept cancellations or provide refunds due to circumstances on the participant’s side, including illness or other health-related reasons.

    About Receipts

    As a general rule, please use the receipt data issued by connpass.

    If your organization requires a receipt with a specific format, please purchase either a Business or Patron ticket, and then contact us through the inquiry form.


    Support system for distant participants

    Participants traveling from distant locations may be eligible to apply to the travel grant program provided by the PyCon JP Association which aims to partially cover transportation and accommodation expenses.

    The Travel Grant for PyCon JP 2026 is currently being prepared.
