The 5th General Meeting of PyCon JP 2022 Was Held

Hello! My name is Azuma, a member of publicity team in PyCon JP 2022.

The 5th General Meeting of PyCon JP 2022 was held on April 22th (Fri). 

This time, we introduced ourselves to those who will be attending the meeting for the first time, and reported on the progress and concerns of each team. From now on, it will be necessary to collaborate between teams in order to proceed with concrete preparations, so we shared information centered on consultations on future collaboration.



This time, a new staff member from overseas who lives in Japan has joined the team, and the team is becoming more diverse. We will continue to communicate our progress in English.

Specific venue design and planning preparations have begun to progress, and each team is firmly preparing for the event!

Looking for Volunteer 

PyCon JP 2022 is looking for volunteer staff for the conference.

It's been two months since we started recruiting staff, and thanks to you, we are gathering very reliable members.
We need more help to make Japan's largest Python conference a success again this year.

I hope you can show off your skills and enthusiasm at PyCon 2022.

I want to propose conference goods! I want to come up with a content idea! I want to be a local staff member! I want to help manage the conference in general! etc…

We also accept trial participation at each staff meeting .

If you are considering becoming a staff member, please feel free to join one of our meetings which are open to everyone, not just staff.

PyCon JP 2022 第5回スタッフミーティングを開催しました

こんにちは！ PyCon JP 2022 事務局担当の中村(chanyou)です。

4/22 (金)に PyCon JP 2022 第5回全体ミーティングを開催しました。

今回はミーティング初参加となる方の自己紹介と、各チームの進捗や懸念点を報告しました。これから具体的に準備を進めるためにチーム間の連携が必要になってくるので、今後の連携の相談を中心に情報共有を行いました。



今回、海外出身で日本在住のスタッフも新たに加わり、さらに多様なスタッフチームとなりつつあります。引き続き英語での発信も力を入れていきます。

具体的な会場設計や企画準備も進み始めて、各チームが開催に向けてしっかりと準備を進めております！

スタッフの募集を開始してから2ヶ月が経ち、おかげさまでとても頼もしいメンバーが集まりつつあります。
日本最大級の Python カンファレンスを成功させるためには、さらに皆さんの力が必要です。

ご自身のやってみたい気持ちやスキルを PyCon JP 2022 でぜひ発揮していただきたいです。

カンファレンスのグッズを提案したい！ コンテンツの案を出したい！ 現地のスタッフをしたい！ カンファレンスの運営全般を手伝いたい！ などなど…

毎回行っているスタッフミーティングではお試し参加も受け付けております。

The Venue and Schedule for PyCon JP 2022 have been decided!

Hello! My name is Azuma, a member of publicity team in PyCon JP 2022.

We are pleased to inform you that the venue and schedule for PyCon JP 2022 have been decided.

We are planning to hold the event on-site this year. However, we will continue to monitor the latest information regarding COVID-19 and as a result our plans are subject to change to ensure a safe event.

Venue

Venue: TOC Ariake Convention Hall
Location: 3-5-7 Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo
Nearest stations: Kokusai-tenjijo (Rinkai Line), Tokyo Big Sight (Yurikamome)





Schedule

The event is scheduled to be held on October 14th (Fri), 15th (Sat), and 16th (Sun), 2022.

14th: Conference
15th: Conference, party (if it is safe to do so)
16th: Sprint and others undecided

The above breakdown is planned and may change depending on the infection status.

When the content of the day is confirmed, we will inform you separately on the website, Blog, Twitter.

PyCon JP 2022の会場、日程が決定しました！

PyCon JP 2022 の会場と日程が決まりましたのでお知らせいたします。

なお、今回はオンサイト（現地）での開催となります。
開催・運営にあたっては、最新情報の感染状況などを見ながら、安心・安全な運営を心がけて開催準備を進めます。
感染状況によってはスケジュール等が変更になる場合がございます。あらかじめご了承ください。


会場

会場: TOC有明コンベンションホール
所在地: 東京都江東区有明3丁目5番7号
最寄り駅: 国際展示場（りんかい線）、東京ビッグサイト（ゆりかもめ）




日程

2022年10月14日(金),  15日(土), 16日(日) の開催を予定しています。

15日: カンファレンス、パーティ（仮）

なお、上記の内訳は予定のため、感染状況により内容が変更となる場合がございます。

PyCon JP 2022 Staff Wanted!!

For non-native Japanese speakers

Hi, I am Azuma, a member of English support team in the PyCon JP 2022!!

Thank you for your interest in PyCon JP 2022.

All PyCon JP 2022 staff are volunteers and we are always looking for new members to join our team.

Conversational Japanese language skills are required, as it is our primary language for communication. However, we will do our best to work with you should you feel like your Japanese skills are lacking.

You can join our planning meetings even before becoming a staff member, which we highly recommend.

This year, we plan to hold PyCon JP 2022 on-site if possible.

That is why we want to cooperate with international people to organize a great event which will reach people who have an interest in Python everywhere. 

We all are excited for you to become part of the team.
