PyCon JP 2021: 1日目のキーノートスピーカー決定のお知らせ/ Announcement of Keynote Speaker on Day 1

皆さん、こんにちは。

キーノート担当のNaoです。

 

このたび日本語のキーノートスピーカーが決定しましたので、発表いたします。

 

PyCon JP 2021、1日目（10/15(金)）のキーノートスピーカーは、

多分野で才能を発揮される谷合 廣紀氏に決定しました！

 

 

 

谷合 廣紀

2016年にPythonと出会いデータ分析に目覚める。

その2年後に「Pythonで理解する統計解析の基礎」を出版。

2020年に将棋のプロ棋士になり、現在は東京大学情報理工学系研究科の博士課程にも籍を置く。

「楽しいことを全力で」をモットーに、今日もまた好奇心を満たす旅に出る。

 

 

谷合氏は「予備校のノリで学ぶ「大学の数学・物理」(YouTube)」にもゲスト出演され、BERTやTransformerを活用して将棋AIをPythonで自作し披露されています。チャーミングな人柄であると同時に、多分野で活躍される顔もお持ちです。谷合氏から聞くPython×将棋というテーマの基調講演が楽しみです。

 

実は、2日目のキーノートスピーカーも決まっているんです。

This is Nao, a staff member from the keynote content.

We are very excited to announce that we will have HIROKI TANIAI on Day 1 (Friday 15 Oct)

as a keynote speaker!

In 2016, he encountered Python and was awakened to data analysis.

Only two years later, he published a book titled "Statistical Analysis with Python

(Japanese title: Understanding the Basics of Statistical Analysis with Python)".

In 2020, he became a professional Shogi player, and is currently enrolled in a PhD program

at the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology of the University of Tokyo.

With his motto "Do what you enjoy with your whole heart",

he goes on another journey to satisfy his curiosity.

 

Mr. Taniai also appeared as a guest in "Learning University Math and Physics in Prep School Style (YouTube)", where he demonstrated his own Shogi AI in Python utilizing BERT and Transformer.

Not only has he a charming personality, Mr. Taniai has been active in many fields.

We Look forward to his Python x Shogi keynote speech!
