PyCon JP 2020 コンテンツチームリーダーの二木です。

PyCon JP 2020はオンライン開催に決定しました。

このブログでは、プロポーザルの募集についてお知らせします。

プロポーザル募集のスケジュール（予定）

発表時間は、45分／30分／15分の3つとなります（2019と同様です）。
以下のスケジュールを予定しています。

• 5月 プロポーザル募集期間
• 6月 レビュー & 採択期間
• 7月上旬 採択発表

検討中の事項

プロポーザル募集開始時点では確定していないことが2つあります。
応募しにくく感じる方もいるかもしれません。
ですが、プロポーザル提出後の撤回も可能ですので、発表を考えている方はぜひご応募ください。

カンファレンス開催日程

現在2つの日程案を検討しています。

1. 8/28(金), 29(土)（当初予定）
2. 8/29(土), 30(日) に変更

5月上旬のスタッフ全体mtgで決め、発表予定です。

トラック数（採択数）

現地開催を想定して用意していたタイムテーブルがオンライン開催でも使えるか確認中です。
レビュー期間(6月)に入る前にトラック数を決めます。

I'm Futatsugi, a leader of the PyCon JP 2020 program committee.

We(PyCon JP 2020 Staff Team) have decided to hold PyCon JP 2020 as an Online Conference.

In this post, I will announce calling for proposals.

Calling for proposals schedule (*planning)

We will have 3 kinds of presentation duration, 45-minutes, 30-minutes and 15-minutes (same as those in 2019).

• Call for proposals in May
• Review & adopt proposals in June
• Announce accepted talks in early July

Matters under consideration

Two things may not be fixed at the start of the call for proposals.
You may feel uneasy about them.
However, please don't hesitate to apply for it.
You can withdraw proposals after you submit them until the deadline.

Conference schedule

We are currently discussing two ideas.

1. August 28(Fri), 29(Sat) (scheduled initially)
2. August 29(Sat), 30(Sun) (changed from the initial schedule)

We will decide on the schedule at a staff MTG in early May.

Number of tracks (Number of accepted talks)

Now we are checking where we should modify the timetable prepared for the on-site event.
We will determine the number of tracks before we start the review in June.
