Schedule

  • Application Deadline: Wednesday, May 31st, 2023 Anywhere on Earth
    • (Thursday, June 1st, 2023, 9pm JST)
  • CfP results will be announced: Late June/Early July

Proposal types

Let me explain the different talk types here. For further details, please refer to the CfP website.

1. Regular Talk

This is the standard conference talk type. You can choose either a 15-minute or 30-minute length. For shorter talks, please apply for a Lightning Talk.

Please make sure to check the “15min talk possible” checkbox if you will submit a 15-minute talk.

2. Lightning Talk

Lightning Talks are short presentations with a hard time limit of five minutes. We do not expect to have Lightning Talks sign up during the conference, so make sure to submit your idea via our CfP website.

3. Poster Session

For poster sessions, you provide a poster and we provide a board to put your poster up. Presenters are NOT REQUIRED to stay beside the poster for the whole conference, though we do plan to have a dedicated Poster Session time slot where you can explain your poster to your fellow attendees.

We accept submissions both from individuals and communities. If you’re applying for a community, please choose a community representative as the presenter information. Let us know in the “Additional Speaker” section if multiple people will present this poster.

4. Tutorial Session

Tutorials will be held during the afternoon of October 26th. We highly recommend you to have some assistants for your tutorial to help you, though these assistants don’t need to  be registered as additional speakers.

From beginner to master, we look forward to your presentations and sharing your knowledge of Python.
