PyCon JP 2019のスプリント参加者およびスプリントリーダーの募集を開始しました！今年のスプリントは9/14(土)、渋谷にあるHENNGE株式会社のオフィスにて開催いたします。
スプリント用のconnpassイベントページに登録いただければ、どなたでも無料で参加いただけます！スプリント参加にあたってPyCon JP 2019のチケットは必要ありません。

スプリントとは？

多くのオープンソースソフトウェアの開発は、通常、ウェブ上でオンラインのコミュニケーションを通じて行われています。ほとんどの場合はこれで、問題ないのですが、時には直接集まってオフラインで共同開発を行うことが、開発を大きく前に進めるために有効なことがあります。

この特定のプロジェクトに興味がある開発者同士がオフラインで集まって、短時間で素早く進捗を出す開発ミートアップを実現するために、スプリントやハッカソンと呼ばれる方法が生まれました（Pythonコミュニティ以外では、このようなミートアップはよくハッカソンと呼ばれています）。
そして、開発者が一同に集まるカンファレンスは、このスプリントを実現するのに最適な場であるため、カンファレンスの一部としてスプリントが開かれることがよくあります。

PyCon JP 2019では、スプリントを行うにあたって必要な環境（Wi-Fi, 電源、テーブル、椅子、そしてコーヒー）を用意いたします。スプリント参加者の皆さんには、ご自分のPC、スキル、そして開発への情熱を会場に持ってきていただければと思います！

スプリントリーダーとは？

スプリントリーダーは、スプリント内で扱う特定のオープンなプロジェクトを決めて、時間内に、その開発の案内や相談を対応する人のことです。
リーダーは、開発を進めるプロジェクトのメンテナである必要はありません。リーダーは、自分が開発を進めたいと思う特定のプロジェクトを選んでいただき、スプリント内で達成したいゴールを設定いただくだけで構いません。他のスプリント参加者が選んだプロジェクトに参加してみたいとなった場合には、スプリントリーダーの皆さんには、まず参加者の皆さんへ選んだプロジェクトの紹介や開発の進め方の案内を行っていただき、開発中は適宜開発の手助けを行っていただければと思います。

このスプリントリーダーの仕組みは、完全に非公式なものなので、参加者の皆さんが実際に開発を行うプロジェクトはどのようなものでも構いません。

• 日時：2019/9/14(土) 10:00 ~ 18:00 (スプリント)
• 18:30 ~ 21:00 (懇親会)
• 参加費：無料
• PyCon JP 2019の申し込みがない方でもご参加いただけます。
• 参加登録：connpassイベントページにて事前登録をお願いいたします。
• スプリントリーダーとして参加の場合は、connpassのイベントページ上でスプリントリーダーとして登録をお願いいたします。 
• 登録時にフォームにも回答してスプリントで取り組みたいテーマを提出してください。
• フォームへの回答は日本語または英語でお願いします。  
• スプリント参加者が閲覧できるように、応募されたテーマを後ほど一覧にして公開します。
• 託児所：今年も会場にて託児所を開設予定です！
• 現在、登録フォームを準備中です。フォームは後日公開予定です。

Looking For Sprint Attendees and Leaders at PyCon JP 2019

We're looking for people interested in attending and leading sprints at PyCon JP 2019. The sprints will be held on Saturday, September 14th at the HENNGE offices and are free to attend for anyone, you do not require a PyCon JP 2019 ticket! We however ask you to register on connpass so we can better estimate the number of attendees.

What is a sprint?

Most open source software development happens on the web and developers usually communicate only online when working on projects. This usually works out fine, but the lack of in-person meetings can sometimes be a limiting factor in making good progress.

For this reason, a form of impromptu coding meetups called “sprints” or “hackathons” (outside the Python community, the term “hackathon” is more common) were initiated, where developers interested in a project can get together in person for a short period of time to make quick progress. Since conferences provide the perfect place to meet, sprints are made part of the conference program.

PyCon JP 2019 will provide the space and infrastructure, such as Wi-Fi, power, tables, chairs and coffee; you bring your skills, humanity, brainpower and computer.

What is a sprint leader?

A sprint leader is the person who is informally in charge of a specific project at the sprint. They do not have to be the maintainer of the project. As a sprint leader, you should pick a specific project you want to work on and having some specific goals you wish to achieve at the sprint can be helpful. Others might want to join your sprint, so please help them getting started in the project.

The sprint leader system is very informal and you can work on any project you want, whether it has a leader or not.

If you want to be a sprint leader, please indicate so on the connpass event page following below description or one in the event page.

When/Where are the sprints? How to register?

• A PyCon JP 2019 ticket is not required, but we ask you to register for the event so we can make sure there's enough food and drinks for everyone.

• If you would like to be a sprint leader, please submit the form that asks you about your project.
• We are going to publish the form to show attendees all submitted projects.
• Childcare room: We are going to provide a childcare room this year too!
