このブログでは、PyCon JP 2024で開催される「アンカンファレンス」をご紹介します。

アンカンファレンスとは？

アンカンファレンスは、共通の関心を持つ人々が集まって小グループで議論を行うイベントです。あらかじめ決められたテーマやスピーカーがいるわけではなく、参加者がその場でトピックを提案し、アジェンダを設定します。このような柔軟でダイナミックな形式により、カジュアルな雰囲気の中、参加者間で自由に、議論や知識の共有といったコラボレーションを行うことができます。

アンカンファレンスの詳細

PyCon JPアンカンファレンスは、2日間にわたって2つのトラックで開催されます。

• 1日目：9月27日 11:10～17:30

• 2日目：9月28日 10:20～17:10

各セッションは50分以上用意しています。

アンカンファレンスは会場の20階で行われます。

アンカンファレンスに参加する方法

会場にはホワイトボードが用意されており、参加者はそこに記入することでトピックを提案できます。もしスピーカーとして話したい場合やセッションをリードしたい場合は、次の手順に従ってください。

1. ホワイトボードで空いているセッションを見つける。

2. タイトル、説明、名前をポストイットに書き、ボードに貼り付ける。

これで完了です！あなたのセッションがボードに掲示されると、他の参加者があなたのディスカッションやプレゼンテーションに参加できるようになります。

We’re thrilled to introduce the Unconference at PyCon JP 2024. Let’s dive into what makes this event so special!

What is an Unconference?

Instead of having predefined topics and speakers, an unconference allows the participants to set the agenda. The structure is flexible, attendees come together, suggest topics on the spot, and form breakout groups based on shared interests. This dynamic format encourages open discussions, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration in a casual setting. In some conferences, this format is also referred to as “Open Spaces,” highlighting its flexible and participant-driven nature.

Unconference Details

We are excited to host the PyCon JP Unconference with two tracks running over two days:

• Day 1: September 27th from 11:10 to 17:30

• Day 2: September 28th from 10:20 to 17:10

Each session will last 50 minutes or more, giving everyone plenty of time to dive into the topics they are passionate about.

The unconference will take place on the 20th floor of our venue.

How to Join the Unconference

The unconference will have a whiteboard at the venue where participants can propose their topics. If you want to speak or lead a session, simply follow these steps.

1. Find a vacant session on the whiteboard.

2. Write your title, description, and name on a post-it note and paste it on the board.

That's it! Once your session is on the board, other attendees can join you for a discussion or presentation.
