会場を大いに盛り上げてくださった皆さま、本当にありがとうございました！

厳しい採択率でした

LT はプロポーザル採択と同じか、それ以上に狭き門となりました。
採択されなかった方も、ぜひブログや勉強会などでアウトプットしていただけると嬉しいです。

当日ライトニングトークについてお知らせします。

カンファレンスの2日間（9/16, 9/17）ともに当日ライトニングトークの枠があります（タイムテーブル）。

• 9/16(月) 17:30〜18:00（クロージングを含みます）
• 9/17(火) 17:20〜17:40

当日ライトニングトークは以下の通りに実施します。

• コンテンツチームのポスターセッションの掲示場所で応募してください
• 以下のような申込書を書いてください（画像は開発中のものです）
  
• 9/16、9/17それぞれ当日に募集します（応募は持ち越されません）
• 当日ライトニングトークの場で抽選します（PCを準備し、自分の登壇を信じてお待ち下さい）
• 大いに盛り上げていただきたいですが、行動規範にご留意ください
• 査読を実施しないため、当日LTスピーカーへのスピーカーTシャツの配布はありません。ご承知おきください。

登壇したい方はスライドを準備してカンファレンスにお越しください。

This is PyCon JP program committee.

On both days of the conference, we will have lightning talks for which you can sign up on the day. The lightning talks will be held at the following times (see timetable):

• 16th Sep. (Mon) 17:30〜18:00（includes closing）
• 17th Sep. (Tue) 17:20〜17:40

Please note the following rules for lightning talks:

• To sign up for a lightning talk, please come to the PyCon JP Program committee poster session.
• Fill in the application form (like the above image)
• You can only sign up for the lightning talk sessions held on the same day 
• Lightning talks will be selected by random draw from all application on a given day
• Be careful not to violate our code of conduct.
• As there is no review process for lightning talks, you will not receive a speaker t-shirt.

If you want to give a lightning talk, please make sure to prepare your presentation.

さて、本日は、
「ライトニングトークとポスターセッションのレビュー観点」と
「スピーカーTシャツ」に関するお知らせをします。


ポスターセッションとは？
ポスターセッションとは、ポスターを掲示し、その前で発表するセッションです。
こういった技術カンファレンスでは、トークセッションが主役のように感じますが、
ポスターセッションの存在を忘れてはいけません。
ポスターセッションの利点は、他の参加者と直接意見交換や議論ができることです。
「ある課題を解決するためにこういうライブラリー作った」や「Python を使ってこういったことをこうやって解決した」といったような内容やトークでご提案いただく形で応募OKです！
積極的なご提案をお待ちしています。


ライトニングトークとは？
ライトニングトークとは、5分間でPythonに関連することについて発表するセッションです。
ライトニングトークでは、貴方の持っている技術や経験を簡潔に分かりやすくまとめることが重要です。加えて、ただ単に「～をやった」というトークではなく、
「この5分の発表を聞くことによって、何が解決し、何が嬉しいか？」などを意識して提案してみてください。



まず、
「ライトニングトークとポスターセッションのレビュー観点」については以下の通りです。

レビュー観点

ライトニングトークとポスターセッション（個人）の共通のレビュー観点：

• Pythonとの関連を重視： 内容はPythonと関連しているか？
• 独自性・新規性： 内容に独自性・新規性はあるか？
• 構成： 課題や目的、全体の流れ、ストーリーがしっかり構成されているか？
• 技術・工夫： 目的や課題を達成するための技術の説明・利用方法や工夫があるか？
• プレゼンテーション： プロポーザルを一目見ただけでどのような発表か分かるか？　

Common Review Points of Lightning Talks and Poster Session (individually):

• Relation to Python: Is the content related to Python?
• Uniqueness & novelty: Is the content unique or novel?
• Structure: Is the issue, purpose, whole flow, and story well structured?
• Technology & device: Does the content include explanation of technology, how to use a technology or device to achieve a purpose or resolve an issue?
• Presentation: Is the content clear so that we can imagine your presentation at first glance of the proposal?

ライトニングトークのレビュー観点：

• 5分で発表できる内容か？
• ただやってみた系ではないか？

Review points of Lightning Talks: 

• Is the content can be spoken in 5 minutes?
• Isn't it just the content of "I tried to use something for trial"?

ポスターセッション（個人）のレビュー観点：

• Pythonとの関連や独自性に重みを置いてレビューします。（トークプロポーザルのレビューよりは厳しくありません。）

Review Points of Poster Session (individually):

• We will put weight on the association and uniqueness with Python and review it. (It is less strict than Talk Proposal Review. )

ポスターセッション（コミュニティ）については、査読を実施しない予定です。
（CFPのNoteにコミュニティのウェブサイトURLを記載して下さい）
※ 活動実績が不明であったり、怪しい投稿であったりした場合は採択されない場合があります。

We will not check poster session proposals for community. 
(Please write your community website in CPF note.)
※ We will reject in the case of unknown activity results or suspicious communities.



次に、「スピーカーTシャツ」については以下の通りです。

スピーカーTシャツについて

スピーカーTシャツは、査読を受けた発表者にのみ配布します。
つまり、スピーカーTシャツを受け取ることが出来るセッションは以下の通りです。

• トークセッション (Talks)
• ライトニングトークセッション (Lightning Talks)

また、今年は「飛び込みライトニングトーク」を実施予定です。（カンファレンス当日、会場で募集します！）

PyCon JP チームでは、PyCon JP 2019 のライトニングトーク・ポスターセッション（個人・コミュニティ）で発表していただく内容を、幅広く募集します。
普段 Python を使ってる人じゃなくても Python に関わることであればぜひ応募してください！
またトークに応募いただいた皆様、ありがとうございました。トークに応募された方もライトニングトーク、ポスターセッションへの応募は可能です。ご応募お待ちしております。

Call for Proposals

We are looking for talk proposals for PyCon JP 2019! The biggest Python Festival in Japan, PyCon JP 2019, will be held in Tokyo from September 14th-17th this year. The main conference days will be on September 16th and 17th, tutorials on 15th and sprints on 14th.

This year's PyCon JP theme is "Python New Era". It comes from Japanese era changing from “Heisei” to “Reiwa” this May and Python2 coming to its end of life on 1st of January, 2020.


Our team is looking for a wide range of topics which you would like to share. Even if you are a Python beginner, please do not hesitate to apply for it.

Thank you for submitting talk proposals. If you submitted talk proposals, You can also submit Lighting Talks and Poster Session(Individuals and Community) proposals. We are waiting for your wonderful proposal.


We have a Lighting Talks and Poster Session.

There are two types of poster sessions: personal and community.
Personal poster session is Python topics, like talks and lightning talks.
Community poster session is to introduce the activities of the community in each area.

Important dates

・2 Jun 2019(Sun): Call for Proposals open.
・7 Jul 2019(Sun): 23:59(JST): Call for Proposals close for talk sessions.

Notice

Although papercall.io allows you to submit your lightning talk and poster session proposals even after the deadline,
please note that they will be disqualified from consideration from PyCon JP 2019.

Please write Lighting Talks and Poster Session CFP in English or Japanese.

We will not check poster session proposals for community. But we will reject in the case of unknown activity results or suspicious communities.

プロポーザルの応募方法 | How to submit a proposal

5月14日にプロポーザルの募集を開始しこちらにて告知を開始しました。応募方法は昨年までとは異なり、今年から PaperCall を利用することになりました。その為応募方法に戸惑う方もいるかと思います。本投稿にて応募に必要な入力項目について説明しますので、以下の内容を参考に是非応募をお願いします。

※ プロポーザルは日本語/英語どちらでも大丈夫です。

※ 発表資料は海外参加者が理解できるよう「英語」または「日本語、英語併記」を推奨します（必須ではありません）。

応募方法

2.「Talk Details」にプロポーザルの内容を入力してください

■ Title
プロポーザルのタイトルを入力してください。

■ Elevator Pitch

I think we began to use Python in some production systems at 2.3 or 2.4. I think Python 2.4 had enough functionality to build any system. Many tools ware created and used.
Python 2.4 was released nearly 15 years ago. Since then Python has been steadily evolving. Although it is possible to create a system with only Python 2.4, it is necessary to know the latest Python trends in order to write code that is better, more maintainable, and more performance-oriented.
There are also features and grammar in the web knockout that are often overlooked, not only by new python users, but also by seasoned Python veterans. I will introduce those features and grammar that I think are important while comparing the grammar and functions incorporated in Python 2.4 and now.

We started accepting proposals for talks, lightning talks and poster sessions for

PyCon JP 2018 on May 14th. Unlike last year, this year we use PaperCall to handle

submissions. Proposals can be submitted in either English or Japanese

Important Dates

May 14th: Call for Proposals starts.

June 15th: Call for Proposals ends (talk sessions).

June 29th: Call for Proposals ends (poster sessions/lightning talks).

End of June: Talk sessions will be announced.

Mid July: Poster sessions and lightning talks will be announced.
