About the Sessions
Talk sessions are 30 minutes long. This includes question & answer time, so please allow for 5-10 min of Q&A time. The presentation language may be English or Japanese.
On top of accepting proposals for talk sessions, we are planning to do the same for poster sessions, lightning talks, etc. separately.

Application Method
1. Register for an account at the PyCon JP 2017 site.
2. Fill out the Speaker Profile
3. Submit your proposal

Submitted proposals will be published immediately. Please be sure to let many people know about your proposal by sharing it via SNS. This may influence the selection decision.

The planned deadline for CfP is June 319. We are really looking forward to seeing everyone’s submissions!

Selection Method
PyCon JP 2017 staff and reviewers selected via internal mailing lists will review each proposal.

The reviewers may give feedback through the review feedback system, asking for specific changes to the proposal contents. If you submit early, more people will get a chance to review your proposal and give you constructive feedback. Please be sure to submit your proposal as early as you can!

The reviewers may also tap SNS for public opinion on the proposal during the selection process. We recommend you share your proposal via SNS in order to get comments and opinions from many people.

After the reviews are complete, we will hold a selection meeting and decided on the final program based on the collected review results.

Important
・Please make the proposal summary as detailed as possible.
The summary is the part of the proposal that gets read most often. Avoid terse one-word sentences and try to convey the substance of your proposal.
・Pick a title that reflects the proposal contents.
Make it easy for people to understand what your talk is about by running the title keywords through a search engine.
・Make the main part of the proposal clear.
This will allow your proposal to be distinguished from other similar proposals.
・Submit early.
This increases your chances of obtaining feedback via SNS or from reviewers, and increases opportunities to improve the quality of your proposal.

Please address any questions or comments about the talk proposals to program@pycon.jp.
